Turkey seems to be able to spend money on a never ending quest for military equipment but don't seem to be able to spend any of that on firefighting equipment (the word is priorities)

The deployment is:
- 6 firefighters
- 8 policemen
- a firefighting Blackhawk, equipped with one a 3000l and one 1500l water tank
- a few cars

I bet Poland can easily afford to maintain it without any EU involvement.

The situation in Poland is quite ballistic.
PiS has just lost the majority, as its junior coalition partner left the government due to its leader have been dismissed. The guy did not want to approve rising taxes for middle-income and rich people and lowering taxes for poor people (who are PiS voters). Apart from that, he did not like the idea of biatchlisting all non-EU-owned TV channels and voted against it. As a result, PiS kicked him out, not even telling him about his dismissal, as he heard that news on the radio
In the meantime, the ex Duck of the EU, Donald Tusk, came back to Poland, told a PO leader to GTFO (the Duck used to be a PO leader before becoming the Duck of the EU) and tried his best to get the shyte together. It has never happened since 2015 that PiS got a support rate equal to PO, but it has just happened a week ago.
Now, PO tries to reverse its gains due to its stupidity, as they sent some MPs to the border to give out blankets, food and water to the migrants.
The governmental Minister of Defence called the MPs "useful idiots who want to play into Lukashenko's hands". I have never supported PiS or this MoD, but the guy was totally right - these idiots do a self-harm, while PiS will try its best to stop the migrants in order to reverse its support losses.
Apart from that, a bunch of Polish human right activists tried to assist the migrants but the soldiers and the border guards told them to GTFO.
