Location: Kabul Event: The security situation in Kabul is changing quickly including at the airport. There are reports of the airport taking fire;

A shelter in place warning has been issued for Kabul. It seems that the airport is taking fire. This is not good.

Sooooo.... The administration wants OPEC to increase supply and lower prices in order to keep the American Consumer happy but doesn't want to increase production here and therefore increase jobs, because green reasons. Explain to me again how oil extraction in the Middle East and other oil producing countries is less environmentally damaging than doing it here is, especially when taking into account transportation energy requirements and risks. Pipelines from North Dakota and other US states, as well as our northern neighbors in Canada are less costly and environmentally risky than shipping it via tanker, especially taking into account that there always seems to be the risk of piracy or military action on the routes that the tankers take.

Oil being extracted in the US doesn't make the Saudi friends of the democratic party any richer. Therefore: Unacceptable!

In Dutch media it's being sold as the result of Trump's presidency. Biden is simply continuing what Trump set in motion and I expect US media to do the same. That traitors in the Pentagon didn't do anything despite direct orders for four years straight to affect an orderly gradual withdrawal and make the Afghans understand the need to stand on their own two feet more and more but instead coercing into a complete instant withdrawal leading to this collapse is of course "fake news".

Because when the economy is good it's Obama's economy, when it's bad it's Trump's economy and when it's good again it's Obama's yet again. Or as of January 20th "Biden's".

According to this report, only 500 of approximately 4000 embassy employees have been evacuated so far. This is not going well. Even this report from Biden supporting CNN reports a very bleak picture, despite the administration saying that things are orderly so far. There's even been tacit admission that the Taliban are in control.
