Hello, just a quick question regarding the modernisation of the Spanish Armed Forces.
What are the major equipment programs for the Ground Forces?
So far I gathered that a version of the Piranha will be ordered and that additional NH90 will be bought alonside the modernisation of the Chinook.
Are there actually plans to buy additional Pizzaro IFVs and new artillery systems?

Summarizing:
Armada - More BAM´s, including especialized versions, (Submarine warfare, ELINT/SIGINT)
- F 110 frigates (replacing F 80 frigates)
- S 80 submarines
-Navalized NH 90
Ejército del Aire - More A400
-Replace the CASA 101 with new advanced airplanes for educational purposes.
- MQ 9 Reapers (I think we bought 2, not yet received)
Ejército de tierra -Piranha V 8x8
- More Pizarro in several versions
-New rocket system, replacing Teruel system
- More NH 90
- A motorized mortar system, (Eimos or Alacrán)
And past year and in the beginning of the current year if I remember well, are completed :
- Received more Pizarros
-Modernization of 17 Chinook to the newest version
-Received firsts VERTS (Land exploration vehicle)
-Received 2 more BAMs

In the first phase of the project (finished in 2003), were received 144 Pizarros .
In the second phase, delayed and reduced by the crisis, 117 were finally ordered. 81 in the IFV version . Most of IFV version are already received in the military units(if not alls) , and 36 sappers combat vehicles will be received soon.
A Pizarro phase III is planned, but it will be a completely new vehicle, and not before 2035.
