We can see that among the crew that survived to the circumnavigation trip around the world, there were some Italians (Anton Lombardo(from Vicenza)), Nicolao de Napoles(from Naples)), Frenchs (Martin de Judicibus (form Saone?)), Greeks (Miguel (de) Rodas, from Rhodes) and german (Hanse from Agan (Agen?)), without forgetting that the original chief of expedition was the Portuguese Fernando de Magallanes, from Portugal.

PS: I see that Martín de Judicibus was forma Saona, near Verona in Italy, not from France.

I thought about you when I posted those photos @Moro , Moroccans fought hard that time, and beat completelly Spanish and Frenchs at the beginning of this war. My maternal grand father (born in 1904) was assigned to Morocco just after the Alhucemas landing.

Right, especially that I am a riffian, born in Tetouan, and my father has come from and born in Nador, the capital of the rif region.

Also the Moroccans have fought hard not only in the rif, also in many battles in the south of the country, and even against the Nazi troops in Italy and France and parts of Germany, when they were integrated into the French troops(goums),with the promise of the French to withdraw from Morocco when the war in Europe ends.
the hardness and bravery of the Moroccans was recognized by the Germans and Italians axis themselves.

There are also several paints made by Spanish painter Augusto Ferrer Dalmau of that war, specially about the cavalry regiment Alcántara who protected the withdrawal of infantry in Annual:
