Anti-submarine missions in the Norwegian Sea were carried out by a detachment of warships and support vessels of the Northern Fleet as part of an exercise with an Arctic expeditionary group. The crews of the missile cruiser "Marshal Ustinov" and the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov" using an anti-submarine helicopter searched for submarines of a mock enemy. The sailors improved the tactics of searching for a submarine in various ways with the help of onboard sonar systems, as well as according to information from pilots. The pilots of the modernized Ka-27M anti-submarine helicopter took off from the Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov frigate, carried out a set of measures for visual, radar and magnetometric search for submarines using standard radio equipment and an onboard sonar station.
