Disarm an illegal drone at a distance of up to 6 km. Is it possible?

Yes, if the Sapsan-Bekas mobile UAV detection and countermeasures complex gets down to business. It is able to "see" the drone at a distance of up to 10 km, track its movement and disable it at a distance of more than 6 km.

The complex consists of three subsystems: radio technical detection and direction finding of drones, active radar and video and optoelectronic tracking, as well as a radio suppression subsystem. "Sapsan-Bekas" is able to monitor the airspace around the clock and recognize airborne objects using video and thermal imaging surveillance equipment.

“The new complex of the Avtomatika concern is capable of countering UAVs in both manual and automatic modes in a wide frequency range - from 400 MHz to 6 GHz. Thanks to the installation of the complex on a car chassis, it is highly maneuverable - this is a key requirement for law enforcement agencies. Mobility is also important for civil customers.

"Sapsan-Bekas" is able to suppress the means of communication and control of the UAV thanks to the "Ray" subsystem. The subsystem affects the navigation, control and information transmission channels of the drone, emitting interference simultaneously in 11 ranges. Its characteristic feature is that it works according to the principle of "friend or foe" - "Ray" does not affect the UAVs, information about which has been previously entered into the database of the complex. In this case, the subsystem can work not only as part of the complex, but also autonomously, thanks to the presence of a separate control panel.
