BTW the INF tearing apart is in full blown advantage for the US because it gives them another wedge against China with now, the "official" right to deploy SRBMs in SEA.
In order to deploy SRBMs in SEA, the Americans would need to have them first. I’m not aware of any SRBMs in the US arsenal apart from the ATACMS. They have a small warhead and their range is limited to 300km.
In contrast, China has DF-15s with a range of 600-900km that are faster and have a much bigger warhead. On top of that, the Chinese have got DF-13s that have the range of 350km.

Interesting details on deployment of Russian troops in Belorussia. (Preparation for "Allied resolve - 2022" strategical exercise).

For the last week 33 trains has arrived, total planned number is 200(!) trains, averaged 50 cars. For comparsion for "Zapad - 2021" only 21 trains used to move Russian army equipment and personnel.

Open source data suggest it is units from Eastern MD: 1 tank brigade, 4 motor rifle brigade, 1 motor rifle regiment, 1 naval infantry brigade, 1 paratroopers brigade, 1 spetsnaz brigade, 2 artillery brigades also engineering, signal, NBC, air defense and various support units. *

In Russian: https://bmpd.livejournal.com/4472200.html

* I think there are not entire brigades/regiments, but one battalion (BTG) out of one brigade. This is an usual practice in non war time drills/operations.

I have a feeling that the numbers are deliberately inflated in order to brake the adversary spirit and order, the western media and politicians are helping to do that too like useful idiots they are. Russian military don't even need to cross the border, the "ROAR" will be enough to fill roads with panicking crowds to degrade Ukraine army maneuvering ability.
Anyway it looks like this time Russians are well and truly ready for the Olympics.

You missed the point
SRBm, IRBM are not specialy difficult tech
US were rather very annoyed by the Chinese SRBM but couldn't say much because of the INF and the fact that they were deployed on Chinese land
Now they can if they want deply their own IRBM/SRBM in Taiwan, Corea, Japan or whatnot (any improved range Tomahawk for example could do the trick, after all they moaned after the new russian cruise missile with extended range. None semanticaly are ballistic missiles but they can become short or intermediate range missile just by tinkering the engine)

Respect to Kay-Achim Schoenbach for telling the truth even at the cost of his high position.
Apparently Ukrainian right wing site "mirotvorets" put him on the black list as enemy of Ukraine, back in 2016 they put there Donald Trump as well before he became president

So within the EEZ, the Russians can't catch any fish or drill for oil - but they can fire guns and drop bombs?

That's so bizarre.
The Irish just need to return the favour - Russia would scream blue murder - but so what....

Instead of screaming Russians will be happy to provide targets in the shape of English ships ;)

Dr Berry, a former army ranger, said the live firing exercise, while being legal, is a “warning to Ireland that we are military weak”.

Europe needs to consider defending itself. And it costs money...

But also, and Germany is a good illustration of that...we gotta stop being that dependent on russian gas. Nothing can be achieved if we freeze our ass off in winter and we can´t make electricity because the bear thought we were a little rude to him.

Very interesting that close inspection of some of the pallets being shipped to Ukraine shows not only Javelins but also M141 Bunker Defeat Munitions present.

These are 83mm expendable rockets meant "to destroy hardened targets, such as bunkers and other fixed enemy positions"

I don't know about you, but HE rockets meant to penetrate "double-reinforced concrete walls up to 8in thick, triple-brick structures and perforate up to 20mm of rolled homogenous steel" sounds more like offensive than defensive weapons.

One could posit it’s for urban warfare. Since the Ukrainians are going to be on the defensive rather than offensive, this is most likely being provided for battles in built up areas, in example: knocking out enemy squads strong-point buildings.

Very interesting that these are also being shipped to Kyiv.

On the gear side:

Germany has annoyed everyone with its renewable energy policy...and in the end needs so much russian gas that it limits its geopolitic possibilities.

They still scream at France being nuclear and even restarting programs...Our nuclear energy and independence is the only thing we got left from de Gaulle´s policies.

We need energy...we can save ebergy of course but we have to try not to be dependent of rogue actors, wether they are Arab sheiks or a tsar wannabe.
