Finland was rather light handed by keeping our positions on the North side, not taking an active part in trying to take the city, not allowing Germans to that front and not bombing the city. And that too was after an unprovoked attack on Finland that started the whole war. Like Russia now, the S.U. had the opportunity to not cross the international borders, but they did it anyway.

I also remember the russification period. Genocide of Finns on soviet side, ethnic clensing of ingrian Finns. I remember how Stalin attacked Poland with Hitler, then attacked Finland and then annexed Baltic. Didn't work out in the long run. Therefore Russians start that history conveniently in 1941.
