Photos Israeli Defence Forces

Came across this image on the internets. Some more info would be welcome.

Merely thoughts here, but even without the electric motor this would be more efficient than carrying that same load on your back. Draft animals are able to carry heavier loads for longer towing than they are when carrying. Fairly certain that it works the same way for humans.

Here are some recently archived photos of the Haganah undergoing training at Camp Yona in northern Tel Aviv.

Merkava hit by "Kornet" ATGM

Do you have a date for that photo? Russian ATGMs were highly effective against Israeli armor during the 2nd Lebanon war, but effectiveness declined against Merkavas close to eventual zero during subsequent Israeli incursions into Gaza.

It seems to be from the 2006 Lebanon war where Israel had 52 Merkava tanks damaged with 5 destroyed, several of the damaged being Mk IV's. There is a little conjecture over just which type of ATGM caused this strike but it seems to have been a Kornet strike. The IDF were NOT happy at the time of the photo release (around 2008/2009) as it shows details of the NERA armour package

Odelia Bayer—she just placed first in the IDF Combat Officer Competition.

"I feel a great responsibility toward my soldiers. I have to make sure they feel that they can always trust me and come to me for anything. It's part of being a good leader. Another is setting an example of how to train, develop and conduct yourself as a soldier, so that my soldiers can then become leaders themselves." - Staff Sgt. Meron, Commander in the Paratroopers Brigade.
