The story of 17-year old Paratrooper Mark Eyles-Thomas, who with his 3 friends of the same age, took part in 3 Para's battle for Mount Longdon, Falklands War. During the battle on the night of 11th/12th June 1982, 23 paratroopers, including his 3 friends died. Their platoon sergeant, Ian McKay, was subsequently awarded a posthumous Victoria Cross.
Of the Argentine soldiers he faced, the author states, "I saw not useless conscripts but brave men who didn't waiver, who had held their position to the very end."
This is an interesting and easy to read autobiographical account of a boy soldier at war
