Three Indian soldiers have been killed in a clash with Chinese forces in Ladakh in the disputed Kashmir region.

The Indian army said senior military officials from both sides were "meeting to defuse the situation", adding that both sides suffered casualties.

China did not confirm any casualties, but accused India of crossing the border in the Galwan Valley.

It's 20 now and "beaten to death". what's going on there!?

no clarification of how they died, 17 were injured seriously and succumbed to their injury as per army official statement, now report saying as per intercept 43 causalities but no idea of their deads and perhaps we will never know. Chinese will never reveal it.

PLA and Indian Army engage each other in melees and stone pelting.

Video shows Chinese and Indian troops clashing with stones high along their border in the Himalayas

Chinese, Indian Troops Engage in 150-Strong Border Brawl With Fistfights and Stone Throwing, Delhi Says

I guess their commanders would rather their troops end up with bloody noises than in body bags.

But if they did end up killing each other, they are going to create a cycle of vengeance and retaliation.

Old video, I already saw this one in 2017.

Heard that they were lots of casualties this time, so seems that things were far more kinetic this time.

Worked with both Indian and Chinese servicemen in UNMISS. Sad to see this clashes going on, and soldiers on both sides losing their lives…. but I suppose that CCP needs again to focus attention of average chinese citizen away from its shortcomings, outright lies regarding the COVID outbreak handling and the approaching economic crisis.

I struggle to think of a more pointless way to die for a soldier than during a clash that could've been resolved by either side telling the other that they'd crossed the dotted line on the map.

43 Chinese casualties claimed by indians and I think there was some shooting.

As far I know, no shot has been fired it was just a melee with the Chinese side, as stated by Indians they use the stick with nails and iron rods. High casualties were due to some fall from the cliff into a ravine?
Chinese also suffered seem like they will not willing to reveal, it might just that number is more than us and embarrassed or you know Chinese and number.

Poor souls on both sides, dying needlesly in a gruesome medieval way because some CCP absolute turd at Beijing wants to distract attention and save face from growing homefront criticism ranging from huge screw ups regarding coronavirus pandemic handling, new covid outbreak in Beijing, economic crisis hitting China, etc...

May all those Indian and Chinese soldiers rest in peace.

Via Bloomberg:
"China’s military has released 10 Indian soldiers captured on Monday during deadly clashes between troops from the two nations along their contested Himalayan border, senior Indian officials with knowledge of the matter said.

The Indian Government did not ever confirm the troops -- including two officers -- were missing. Instead it issued a statement on Thursday saying there were no soldiers missing in action.

Their release followed talks between senior military commanders in Galwan, the officials said, asking not to be identified because the matter isn’t public.

The skirmishes with stones, iron rods and bamboo poles wrapped in barbed wire laced with nails left 20 Indian soldiers dead along with an unknown number of Chinese casualties. The scuffle is the worst border incident between the two nations in at least 45 years, and signaled a sharp deterioration in ties between the two regional giants.

The violence broke out Monday afternoon and went on until midnight on the Tibetan plateau along the freezing Galwan river.

Indian Army spokesman Aman Anand declined to comment, while India’s spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs, Anurag Srivastava, referred Bloomberg to the one-line statement denying Indian soldiers were missing.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs didn’t respond to a request for comment."

not the first time china did it , they did the same crap from 1977-79 along Vietnam border , first send troop and thug hidden in civilian cloth to harras our border guard , throwing stone and crap , then high point was in 1979 when a young border guard officer come over to talk with them was beat and kill by the them first kill in the sino Vietnam war befor the china declare war and invade north Vietnam , some time around late 2000s( 2010 ) and early 2010s the Chinese send worker in guide of worker to do something in the river of the 2 country ( it pretty sallow river ) and both side have a rock throwing game didn't kill anyone ( hurt quite few on both side ) they are pretty aggressive and with recent become world super power that able to challenge America they become more hyper nationalist , just matter of time befor a war happened either china capture Taiwan or a war in south china sea ( btw china goal was the navy to supass American navy befor 2050 and capture Taiwan befor 2050 if negotiation fail , that why Taiwan is rushing to buy weapon ) a Chinese friend say to me , if they capture Taiwan they will lost half of the fleet but will destroy the entire 7 fleet and they are more then willing to pay the price to capture Taiwan that how nationalist they are ( they haven't been in a war since 1979 = for many youth they don't know the reality of war )
