. Yes, a meeting happened. Things were said which may or may not lead to something else. I’m not sure what the expected response was from Trump around here. Or why those are the only comments about that in this thread. Actually, in this thread, I should expect that.
Anyhoo, whoever wants Trump to step aside and let Germany/France/UK/etc. handle this, show of hands. Everyone here seems to be exponentially smarter than Trump. Let’s see some action.

Fact is - Trump is the only outside entity trying to find a peaceful solution. It isn't easy. If EU nations disapprove, start shitting or get off the toilet as the saying goes.

He's my guy. Certainly not perfect, but I'm happy to have him. And I am sure if the European powers approached him and said, "Donny please, after all this is our problem, not yours, let us handle it", he'd be happy to move along and focus on the other hundred things he's doing. But......that just ain't gonna happen.

An abnormal situation occurred on the plane, and the pilot ejected. According to open data, the Ukrainian Air Force has already lost three F-16 fighter jets. The General Staff of Ukraine reported the loss of the first F-16 in August 2024, without providing details of the incident. Then, Verkhovna Rada Deputy Maryana Bezuglaya claimed that it was mistakenly shot down by a Ukrainian Patriot missile. After this, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force was removed from office. On April 12, 2025, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the loss of another F-16, in which the pilot died. On April 13, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the F-16 was shot down by air defense.
