Makes sense. Thanks. However I wouldn't have done it unless it was a feint to draw away manpower so they could concentrate on an actual attack elsewhere.
At this point and a hats off to Ukraines OPSEC, nobody knows their intentions. Then again they have been taking on the Russians and are able to keep from being steam rolled. So I guess we will just have to wait and trust them on their 4D chess.

That seems to be a big part of their plan and judging the available information, they seem to have succeeded in at least partially drawing and binding some of the Russian units that participated or are participating in the Ukraine invasion. To what effect, needs to be seen yet.
