The Indian Coast Guard ship Vikram arrived today at Toamasina on a goodwill visit to Madagascar. Ambassador Abhay Kumar visited the ship upon its arrival this morning and welcomed the officers led by Commanding Officer.

#BridgesofFriendship JMSDF Ship Sazanami is on a three day visit to Mumbai. Commander Shoji Ishikawa, the Commanding Officer of the JMSDF Ship called on the Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet upon arrival. #IndianNavy and #JMSDF have attained high levels of #interoperability through conduct of #bilateral and #multinational naval exercises. The visit by JMSDF Sazanami will further enhance #cooperation and strengthen bonds between the two navies. Prior her arrival at Mumbai, JMSDF Sazanami participated in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with INS Tarkash in the Central Arabian Sea. The aim of the exercise was to promote mutual understanding of operating procedures, #communication and exchange #bestpractices. Locally made IWI/Punj Lloyd X95 Flattop are being issued to Central Industrial Security Force ( CISF ) QRT. CISF is Central Armed Police Force ( CAPF ) under Ministry of Home Affairs ( MHA ).

Punj Lloyd is the first private firm in India to start production of firearms in partnership with the Israeli Weapons Industries ( IWI ).
CISF is responsible for security of state owned installations like airports, dams and power plants. X95 is battle proven platform and proved to be very successful in Indian conditions. In India more than 15 different forces have 20,000+ X95s in service.
