* So, Kaminski, you're going to come in and behind you I'm going to throw the stun grenade...mil-smile03
* Thank goodness poor Kaminski is as deaf as a gunner, it won't affect him much... Mil-smile01

* Dabrowski! How many times must I repeat to him that he must throw the smoke grenade, not leave it attached to his harness!

Another 14 Leopard 2PL tanks were delivered to the Polish Army after modernization

Are these still being looked at as high-end assets by the Poles or have they taken a back seat to the Abrams and K2s? I know at the moment they have more Leo 2s, but I doubt the Poles will ever get their 1,000 K2s so I do wonder where that leaves the 2PLs.

There are many indications that M1A1 / M1A2 tanks will dominate in "heavy" units. Due to terrain conditions, the units in the north-east and south-east will be gradually equipped with K2 family tanks, the production of which will hopefully be transferred to Poland, and this will be the main tank of the Polish army.

The Leopard 2A5 and Leopard 2PL will slowly replace the remaining T-72/PT-91 family vehicles (e.g. in the 34th Armored Cavalry Brigade) in western Poland. This is how it was supposed to look like until recently, but unfortunately a lot will depend on politics.

Thank you for the explanation. Are there intentions to upgrade the A5s to the PL standard?
