I love those TYPE90B Chinese Grad clone that they use, makes their army really special when it comes to equipment so much rare stuff especially in South America which is mostly dominated by Western European and American equipment besides Venezuela ofc which really makes the Peruvian army something really special I can't wait for their future purchase of 8x8 vehicles their new MBT which surely will be something else in South America, I personally would like to see them with Ukrainian BTR4MV1. Surprisingly Peru already uses Ukrainian autocannons with their ATGMs for vehicles in their upgrades like to m113

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo is participating in the ceremony marking the Peruvian Army Day and the 197th Anniversary of the Battle of Ayacucho.

The activity takes place at the Army General Headquarters in Lima's San Borja district.

The event is attended by Prime Minister Mirtha Vasquez, Defense Minister Juan Carrasco and military authorities, among others.

On a day like today, in 1824, at Pampa de Ayacucho, the patriotic troops —commanded by Antonio Jose de Sucre— clashed with the royalists led by Viceroy Jose de La Serna and General Jose de Canterac.

The cavalry actions under the command of Guillermo Miller —who managed to drive back the royalist horsemen— and the advance of Jose de la Mar's men were key to the final defeat of the royalists, who ended up discouraged after the capture of Viceroy La Serna.

The battle ended at about 1:00 p.m. The commanders of the royalist and liberation armies signed the Capitulation of Ayacucho, a document that ensured the surrender and withdrawal of Spanish forces from Peru.

SIMA Peru.

We started the welding of the B.A.P resistant helmet. "Chipana" The closure of the resistant helmet is a fundamental milestone in the integral repair and technological update of the underwater unit B.A.P. "Chipana", since it supposes a phase change in this project. The works in the submarine are now focused on the approximation of the two cut sections, the alignment and the binding by specially and controlled welding of the resistant helmet, in addition to the visual tests of magnetic particles and 100% radiographic plaques of the welded joint. These works are carried out in our Callao Operation Center, with the technical assistance of the German shipyard Thyssenkrup Marine Systems TKMS, allowing us to incorporate new technologies and have highly trained personnel for the execution of these work that require high specialization. The scheduled date to complete these works with the tests included, is the second week of the month of March, ending with the inspection of the DNV-GL Classification Society.

Peru: President leads ceremony for 81st anniversary of Jose Quiñones sacrifice

13:31 | Lima, Jul. 23.

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo headed the ceremony commemorating the 81st anniversary of the immolation of Air Force Captain Jose Abelardo Quiñones and Peruvian Air Force Day, which was held at Las Palmas Air Base in Lima on Saturday.

As part of the ceremony, the National Anthem was sung, floral wreaths were placed in homage to the heroes of this institution. Later, a parade took place.

On May 10, 1966, former President Fernando Belaunde declared Jose Abelardo Quiñones a national hero for his acts at the Battle of Zarumilla. Thus, the former Head of State ordered that every July 23 the Military Aviation Day be commemorated in Peru.

The Peruvian Air Force was born with the fundamental mission of national defense in the air field.

Its origins date back to May 1929, when the Peruvian Aviation Corps (CAP) was created, with the only provision being the unification of the different air services and activities in the country and establishing uniform conditions for all aviation personnel. In 1950, it was renamed the Peruvian Air Force (FAP).

At present, its staff is trained and prepared to respond promptly and effectively to new threats to national security, as well as in the fight against narcoterrorism, illegal logging, smuggling, and illegal mining.

Likewise, it participates in the transfer of passengers, cargo, humanitarian aid, aeromedical evacuations, and launching airlifts in case of emergency linked to natural disasters.

Moreover, it supports State-run institutions to cope with frost and snowfall in Andean areas, as well as cold spell in the country's jungle.

Today's event also saw the presence of Congress Chairwoman Maria del Carmen Alva, as well as the heads of various ministries and members of the three Armed Forces.
