The good thing about shelter in place and subsequent working from home is that now I have time to play video games, and I've played lots of them.

Metro Exodus is real surprise for me. It's truly excellent. While the previous games in the Metro series were meh in my opinion driven by excellent narrative rather than a gameplay, but this one shines on all fronts. Also, it's apparently not resource intensive as I have been able to play it on my so-so rig with no issues on highest settings possible given my video card. If you are interested in story driven FPS, check it out. One note of caution, though, even on Normal difficulty setting, the game is tough, especially early on, Volga map.

Final Fantasy VII Remake. Some sites gave this game a 10, I'm not that generous. 8 would be a more appropriate score. It's a very lavish production, and it shows, but the game will padded. Was there a need to voice over every line of dialogue especially since I've seen better writing at Brazzers? And these interactions are so long that it feels like the combat is just a short interlude between never ending cut scenes. All in all, I would wait until the game is discounted and would only then recommend picking it up. There are better RPGs out there on a fraction of production budget of FFVII remake.

The size of PS5 o_O

I am now playing the free trial of F-14 and AJS-37 in DCS World, check it out if you have a joystick and like this kind of sims.

Metro Exodus is real surprise for me
It got emotional for me at the end. I got the good ending, but it is a bitter-sweet one. I like the STALKER series more, because of the lack of human interactions, just the Zone, mutants, anomalies and mysteries to be found. Oh and good weather since all the games are set in summer-autum. But the Metro series is far superior in terms of a story and characters. Great trilogy.
Oh, and i heard they will expand the series further but i don't think Artyom will be involved. It will probably be like Sam's Story.

Can't wait to play this as a nomad. Just like in GTA V missions with Trevor at Blaine County were my favourite. I'm choking in nostalgia.

The only game i have a pre-order on. I am saving money to buy a Ampere/RDNA2(AMD) card this autum since my RTX card got a refund after it's fans died.
This is a great channel to get started on Cyberpunk:

I've been doing some Star Citizen now that I have a games rig that can run it. It's been fun - albeit with a very steep learning curve and a couple of system crashes that kicked me out just when things were getting interesting. Done some trading and some delivery missions and I'm going to try some mining soon. Just none of that icky combat for me - that stuff looks dangerous.

What are the specs on the rig you've put together?

i7-9700
16GB RAM of some kind or flavour
M2.256GB SSD drive and a 512GB SATA SSD for peasant games
NVIDIA GTX1660 Super 6GB video card

It took me years to finish Assassin's Creed Unity even with all the patches the game has clunky and unresponsive controls as well as some glitches in regards to completing missions. Considered to be a nadir in the series, which is too bad because I think it had the best story, the best characters, and the best setting for AC game. Also, unfortunately, the game's objective failure sent the franchise into action gameplay territory rather then relying on stealth mechanics.

By the way, it's one of the best selling games of all times because it was literally given away for free or nominal (I think I paid $.99 for it with all the DLCs) prices.

I really enjoyed AC Unity, but then I've had fun with all the AC games on Playstation. Though there are a couple trophies still outstanding for me on that one...a couple game mechanics that I just have trouble with. Maybe someday I'll go back and try for them.

Just finished playing Resident Evil 2 remake. Used to be the type of game I enjoy, but something inside of me must have changed. I found the game difficult for myself to beat on "normal". Also, it is really scary or my fragile psyche is about to go boom. All in all took me 10 hours to beat the game on a first playthrough. Didn't bother to do a second run with another character.

Just seems so appropriate to what is going on right now...

I really liked the Black Ops campaign, the Kowloon mission was one of the best in the CoD series.
With '83, SEA POWER and Project IGI coming, i still fell we need more Cold War games, especially RTS/RTT ones.

Can't handle RTS. Used to love turn based gaming like Steel Panthers and Generals series. Showing my age, but I haven't played war "strategy games" since the early-2000s.
