This is the stealth version of the Oto-Melara turret. It has been around for some years.

On the other hand, they chose a very interesting bow design. Looks like someone cited the ancient warships with a naval ram.

The superstructures of these ships (especially the destroyers) reminds me a lot of the infamous pagoda masts of the old.

^ They do seem to have a high wind load, too, with this type of design.

That must be one of the ugliest looking warship. I like it.

They should put a blinding laser on it, it would blind the enemy as its too ugly for you to look away when you see it :p

Its a wave piercing bow at the waterline, meant to assist with sea keeping on a smaller internal hull. The bridge aspect reminds me of a "mini" Zumwalt ;)
Looks like a great fishing platform on calm days....Just say'in (Might be a bitch to get to)

More than 10,000 people were evacuated from central Turin on Sunday, 1 December 2019, as Italian EOD technicians worked to defuse a World War Two bomb. Residents of the Italian city were told to vacate a "red zone" in the historic district. A further 50,000 living further away were told either to leave their homes in advance, or to remain inside during the operation. The British bomb, dropped on the city during WW2, contained 65kg (140lbs) of dynamite, authorities said. (Photo/VCG)
