The Army’s main exercise Kontio 22 was held in Northern Karelia from 25 November to 2 December 2022. The exercise enhanced the cooperation of the Army’s capabilities and branches and the soldiers’ readiness to operate in rapid situations. A total of 8000 soldiers took part in the exercise, including approximately 4800 conscripts and 2000 reservists. Some of the reservists served as instructors for other reservists in the exercise.

Jaeger Brigade operations were conducted from squad level up to Battalion Tactical Group and Army Corps HQ. Capabilities enhanced and tested. Were are ready to defend Lapland now and in the future
