Simon Weston of the Welsh Guards. He was burned over 46% of his body when RFA Sir Galahad was bombed and set afire near Fitzroy. Out of his platoon of 30 men, 22 were killed. The Welsh Guards lost a total of 48 men killed and 97 wounded aboard Sir Galahad.

May 27th 1982: Lieutenant Commander Dante Camilette of the Argentine Marines is captured, having been hidden as a forward observer to spot and target ships in San Carlos. He is 'bagged' and taken off for interrogation. Probably one of the more famous Falklands War photos

June 13th 1982: Sheffield class (Type 42) destroyer HMS Cardiff (D108) detects the flight of 2 incoming Argentine Canberra's and fires Sea Dart, scoring a direct hit and downing one of the bombers. Pilot Captain Pastran ejects, but Navigator Captain Casado is killed. The other bomber returns to base

June 14th 1982: Royal Marines from 40 Cdo land in two Sea Kings, which are strafed by Argentine fire as they land, but the Marines dash in, firing machine guns, rifles and 66mm rockets as HMS Active begins shelling the Argentine defenders.

Three Argentines are killed in a fighting withdrawal, as seven British are wounded by small arms and mines. But with HMS Active now hitting the hill and a Harrier GR3 dropping a guided bomb, resistance melts, and 40 Cdo and the Welsh Guards move up to take Sapper Hill.
