I'm from the LA area From what I've seen historically and currently, it's typically not the immigrants themselves that are out there protesting and causing chaos. It's their kids. We have this system in place where immigrants (for the most part) come and work hard, but they have kids here and the value of work and sacrifice doesn't usually get passed down. Growing up in an immigrant community, the 1st gen + people have always tended to be the annoying ones. They want to speak for their parents but never actually lived their experiences.

That's an interesting perspective, that somehow they are raising, woke, mentally retarded, communists. I am the son of immigrants and my wife is the daughter of immigrants, and we have had a different experience. I'm not saying you're wrong, though. And if so, something has gone wrong.

I never said they are raising woke mentally retarded, communists. I just sometimes see an aimlessness in the hispanic community (parents) regarding the future of 1st gen + kids. Apathy, even. But of course, I'm not trying to paint the whole community with a broad stroke. I'm glad you had a different experience and I'm happy that I did as well. My dad would have kicked my ass if he ever found out I was out there protesting, no matter the reason.

You guys would truly be the ones standing on the side cheering on Nazi rallies. None of the actions in LA needed the National Guard or the deployment of Marines. I would say ICE is the Gestapo, but the Gestapo actually had the brain power to ask for papers.... this is why the people started protesting, too much incident of grabbing the wrong people rather than an actual investigation.


The INS did raids before, but they seldom did actual raids on schools or local communities. Yet they did their job.

Supporting illegal aliens in LA today might get you a rebuke or sideways glance from some people, cheers from another; speaking out against a regime in 1940s Europe would see you in prison until you were put up against a wall. Yeah, again, totally the same.

The (Democrats) left are fomenting violence and civil disobedience, selectively reporting it, and blaming Trump for headlines, whilst turning a blind eye to the anarchists, agitators, and activists who are looting and burning the city they want to accept them. Make it make sense.

ICE is actively deporting even American Citizens dont avoid that fact. The NAZI's didnt start out putting people on trains to death camps either.... remember the nation was handed to the NAZI's by the population. I'm not saying there will be deathcamps, but Authoritarian governments start out usually as "cracking down" on leniency against a group. From the sound of Trumps post, illegal immigrants are a bunch of mongolian herds destroying everything in their path.

I agree on the part of his statement, that what is happening in Los Angeles is way overblown by media on all sides. However, where I disagree is which side is trying to make the issue way over blown. Sending a Marine gunship and the National Guard, is definitely trying to make a mountain out of an ant hill. What Trump is doing is strong arming the public so future resistance will be futile and in a way, either by intention or by product, getting the rest of citizenry used to the idea of the Armed Forces being deployed in neighborhoods.

Sending the Marines and the Viper flying around is a show of force on a citizenry.
