Wasn’t too sure where to post this, the hijacking of an Air France fight from Algiers in 1994 right during the Algerian Civil war. Most people here remember it although this might have gone down the memory hole for other people since all other attacks that hit France and Europe in more recent years.
It was mostly a successful operation despite the execution of some passengers by the terrorists. I could find a video in not so bad quality for the time, in English:
