Short barrel versions are called sub-carabines in the military technical language. For now, the armament of the Polish Army has not found the models developed in the program of the advanced individual combat system Titan, which, according to the requirements, are to be completed with even shorter 10-inch (254 mm) barrels. After completing the required tests of weapons, sub-rifles with such a barrel length called Grot C10 should start reaching the Polish Armed Forces from this year.

Before models with 10.5-inch barrels hit the civilian market, earlier in December 2019 such a weapon in a variant for single and continuous fire, was ordered by the Border Guard. Border guards bought 228 Grot carbines, of which 93 were in the C16 version with 16-inch barrels. The remaining 135 carbines were delivered with two sets of barrels for the user's choice: 16-inch and 10.5-inch.
