...as opposed to building armour my first and most loved vehicles to build are trucks,softskins of every kind so in wanting to do a convoy travelling through a tight road through a French village I had to scratch build a couple of different trucks,a command dingo,a field ambulance and the Staghound is the resin one from the Scottish company.

...a very old model I did back in the early 80s,the Tamiya Chi-ha Japanese tank,I think,now resides in the Army Wing of the Naval Base under glass with kit and tunic of the Canadian unit in Hong Kong!

...man,are those two models oldies,the anti-magnetic paste put on the Elephant was put on by hand using Spackle a gyproch paste to smooth the joins in making walls in a new house. So you take the stirred paste and spread with an artist pallet knife small sections at at. You also have your cut up nylon backpoket comb cut into various widths and dragged through the paste to get the stripped pattern. Remember not to thick and not to little will not look right,somewhere in the middle will do nicely. Also don`t forget to give a little jerk at the end of each smal section you put on!

...this is one of my favourites,I call it Replacements! The shop truck is tagging along heading to the front in the convoy,the leader being the Dingo SC and the rest are short troopers. The shop truck and the monkeyfaced trooper were both scratchbuilt. The guys are taking a short stretch and smoke break!

...Canadians are known for doing funny things even during war time,this dio is from an actual picture I believe you`ll find it in the jeep albums because I replaced the jeep with a scratchbuilt scammal,just to liven up the setting a bit! The scene depicts the Service Battalion having a bit of fun bringing a Red and Green service station to the war,just a bit of home for the boys!!

The German Tiger ones were booby trapped so that the enemy would not get a complete vehicle,this one failed to ignite hence The Prize. Got a lot of flak over this one because I covered up a beautiful turned metal barrel!!

...this is another of my favourite trucks and I realy wanted someone to bring out a kit,the 981 combination tank transporter,got tired of waiting!! The Sherman is from a kit. This is from a real photo where the driver pulled over too far onto the shoulder and slid down the other side!

...until the Canadian Leopard for Afghanistan came out Canada didn`t endorse any Canadian vehicles,you either had to convert similar vehicles from other countrys or scratchbuild them. This LAV is a US Marines vehicle in kit form with extensive modification to convert it to a Canadian version.

...the Germans took out every bridge they could find in order to slow the Allies advance,here we have a short brick bridge small enough to place a spanner across. How ever the vehicle still needs a helping hand now and again,'' To the left '' !

...and we have the rest, when I end my year of building and it`s time to pack up the new stuff and enter the competition and show I get so many different guys taking pics and sending copies that it`s hard to pick and choose what to post,but any way you get a good look!!
