Photos Women In Uniform

Jilda Tsurtsumia is a Georgian senior lieutenant, the first woman to be given command over a combat unit, which is First Platoon, Alpha Company of 12th LIB Commando no less. It is currently part of the Nato Response Force.

She is the first female Georgian officer to graduate from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and also specializes in mountain warfare amongst other things.

I've learned of her just recently on Geo tv. Very inspiring story and individual. Hope she reaches further heights in her career/life.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (June 3, 2019) – Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Brandy Sandoval measures a child’s height at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Pediatrics Clinic. Sandoval, a native of Rancho Cucamonga, California, says, “I love being a hospital corpsman. Being able to wake up and make a difference in our patients’ lives gives me a strong sense of pride and continues to push me to do better each day.” The Navy Hospital Corps celebrates 121 years of service on June 17. Hospital Corpsmen take a pledge to faithfully perform all of their duties, to hold the care of the sick and injured to be a privilege and a sacred trust, and assist the medical officer with loyalty and honesty. At age 27, Natalia Karely Rincon Mora has the luxury of saying that she has fulfilled two of the most important goals in her professional life: to be the first aeronautical woman in the Colombian Air Force, FAC, and to become the only artillery woman in the Colombian Air Force
