Photos Women In Uniform

Jilda Tsurtsumia is a Georgian senior lieutenant, the first woman to be given command over a combat unit, which is First Platoon, Alpha Company of 12th LIB Commando no less. It is currently part of the Nato Response Force.

She is the first female Georgian officer to graduate from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and also specializes in mountain warfare amongst other things.

I've learned of her just recently on Geo tv. Very inspiring story and individual. Hope she reaches further heights in her career/life.

At age 27, Natalia Karely Rincon Mora has the luxury of saying that she has fulfilled two of the most important goals in her professional life: to be the first aeronautical woman in the Colombian Air Force, FAC, and to become the only artillery woman in the Colombian Air Force
