Indigenously designed & developed Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) has been inducted into Indian Army. The first LCH was formally handed over by HAL to Director General, Army Aviation Corps. Highly maneuverable & agile, LCH will significantly enhance the combat capability.

Army will get only 6 Apaches & 5 LCHs as of now in the first phase but they are looking for 95 more LCHs while no update on further order for Apaches. Both will co-exist as they belong to heavy duty & lightweight categories.
