Based on a request from the Govt of Maharashtra, #IndianNavy deployed #INSMakar, a hydrographic survey ship, on 18 Dec 21 to search for a fishing boat 'Naved-2' reported missing off the Ratnagiri coast since 26 Oct 21 & likely to have become a hazard to navigation.

#Mormugao being built at #MazagonDockLtd as part of Project 15B destroyers incorporates several niche indigenous technologies & is a shining example of #AatmaNirbharBharat Providing thrust & impetus to the #MakeInIndia initiative

T-90 Bhishma Armoured Corps

Airborne Exercise to validate Rapid Response Capability of Shatrujeet Brigade was carried out during Multi-Domain Tri-Service Exercise which is under progress at the strategically important Nicobar group of islands of Andaman and Nicobar.

General MM Naravane COAS inducted indigenously developed next generation Armoured Engineer Reconnaissance Vehicle (AERV) in Indian Army at Pune. The vehicle will provide a major boost to Engineer Reconnaissance Capability in support of mechanised operations.

Bihar Infantry Regiment

Vajra Corps conducted EXERCISE VAJRASAHAYATA, a scenario based joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) disaster response Exercise, along with Civil administration Jalandhar to streamline own response during CBRN Disaster.

Commander-in-Chief, ANC, witnessed Amphibious Assault & landing ops. Drills included Naval Gun Fire Support; underwater insertion by Marcos; CFF by AFSOD; BAS by aircrafts & helicopters; & extensive day & night beaching. Today's assault marked Jt Ex culmination. Validating combat readiness of ANC, the 4 service components in a network centric environment demonstrated high degree of integration & successfully conducted Beaching Ops. The speed & weight of the synchronized attack was spellbinding.

INS Tarasa, a Waterjet Fast Attack Craft visited Jaigarh Port Maharashtra on 20 Dec 21 as Indian Navy ships are progressively visiting 75 ports to raise awareness amongst local populace about coastal security & invoke patriotism as part of Amrit Mahotsav.

President Kovind witnessed the operational demonstration by the Southern Naval Command in Kochi. The event displayed the combat capability of ships and aircraft of the navy and showcased naval prowess and operations.

Rear Adm Sanjay Bhalla took over the Command of the Eastern Fleet, the Sword Arm of the Eastern Naval Command, from Rear Adm Tarun Sobti, VSM today at an impressive ceremony held at Naval Dockyard.

ITBP personnel along with Shri Lhari Dorjee Lhatoo, IG North West Frontier, ITBP patrolling icy heights along the borders in Ladakh on #Christmas with temperatures dropping to Minus 30⁰C.

Naval CHETAK Helicopter

On a routine surveillance sortie off Kavaratti island on 28Dec, a Fast Interceptor Craft (FIC) of Indian Navy under NOIC (LK), undertook rescue ops & saved local civilians who were observed to be drowning close to Harbour mouth.

RBU-6000

Diverting aircraft on routine sortie in Southern Indian Ocean Region, Indian Navy undertook medivac of sailor from Maputo, Mozambique. Indian Navy extends heartfelt gratitude to the Govt of Mozambique & Doctors from Privado Hospital, Maputo.

INS Sharda, an Offshore Patrol Vessel and INS Kabra, a Waterjet Fast Attack Craft visited Beypore port for participating in Beypore International Water Fest, organised by the Govt of Kerala wherein IN ships and aircraft participated on 26 and 27 Dec 21.
