Then let me compliment your endurance. Well, in all fairness – Igor Korotchenko, the Russian state broadcaster's propagandist we all know and love – recently called Donald Trump a "friend" of Russia's. And Hungary's prime minister Viktor Orban went so far as to say in his infamous Romanian speech that if Trump and Angela Merkel had still been in power, the war in Ukraine would've never happened. Merkel's policy was one of appeasement; Putin fanboy Orban certainly didn't mean to suggest Trump's policy would've been different, otherwise it'd be illogical to name him and Merkel in the same breath.
Yeah, a lot of people think Putin was determined to invade Ukraine regardless of who occupied the White House.
Biden is a weakling, but his toolbox for dealing with a situation such as this is the same as Trump's – since that toolbox comes with being the US president, not with being either man. The only other option would be threatening war on Russia. Seeing how back in 2015 Trump called Hillary clinton a war-mongerer and predicted she'd drag the US into an unnecessary war with Russia if elected, I struggle to believe he'd have gone so far.
Which is probably for the better, let's be honest.
As a matter of fact, any explicit American security guarantees for Ukraine (or the deployment of US troops to that country), would've accelerated the invasion by seemingly justifying Russia's propaganda about the West's preparing to use Ukraine as a stepping stone for an anti-Russian war.
