Politics All Things Trump

New Zealand-born reggae artist Lotima Nicholas Pome’e – aka General Fiyah – has been reportedly detained in the US and deported. The young musician had been scheduled to perform at Polyfest, a major Pacific cultural festival held in Washington on Saturday. In a post on social media, General Fiyah expressed his apologies to fans. “I am really sorry to let you all know that I won’t be able to make the performance tonight,” the post read.

Part way through performs in a Gadaffi outfit and the name he went with turned out to be a bit tone deaf. Compared to contemporary US blaspheming artists his perfomances are more like Donny and Marie clean.

No offence, but … He took office in January, how could he be "largely" responsible for a development that started three years ago?

Obviously, the tariffs will have had some impact. But I'd reckon the Chinese brought this decline in foreign investment upon themselves, for the most part. They've strongarmed a sizable host of foreign companies out of previously amicable joint ventures, and continue to steal trade secrets like it's about to go out of style.

Investors want stability and legal certainty. Xi has erroded both.

Investors are have realized that China is not the panacea they were promised. I get your point about the "3 years", though.

I don't know, hard to tell. They all have their serious faces on, which is appropriate.

^----- That's a bit more than I was expecting. I'm expecting a quiet campaign of jungle camp interdiction.

I can't consider Kiriakou a trustworthy commentator, but he is very knowledgeable about the mechanism of intelligence agencies. Taibbi has brought forawrd some interesting stuff.

Here they both discuss how Russiagate is completely falling apart and may result in charges.

Somewhat reminds me of Ian Fleming. Was adjacent to the real deal, but only ever got to write fictionalized stories about it. This is the one thing that could elevate Steele above the numerous faceless intelligence analists who's carreer in the intel world goes by unnoticed.

Well he might get his wish after all, but unlike Fleming who made good money off of his fiction the only thing Steele might earn is free housing and three meals a day until the next democrat president grants him amnesty.

Dreamt of being Bond, yet the only Bond he might see is the bail bond agent.
