Hungary will not allow lethal weapons for Ukraine to transit its territory - FM
Hungary will not send troops or weapons to Ukraine and will not allow lethal weapons to transit its territory in order to keep the country safe, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday during a visit to Kosovo.

Measuring the cost of the Iraq war following years of active anti-insurgency vs the invasion of Ukraine which isn't even over and the occupation yet to kick in. The more troops they take out the more brazen the resistance to the occupation will become. They'll have to keep several hundred thousand troops there to maintain the occupation. Right now using roughly 300,000 troops means that 3/4 of all their forces are tied up. Imagine the cost of maintaining such a level of (pre-)deployed and supporting troops for years and what it means for the already shaken Russian economy and the defence of the rest of the vast Russian landmass.
They can do this in Chechnya and Belarus, not a country as vast and populous as Ukraine. Putin is already trying to scrape forces from other countries into the fight. They could do an occupation of that size in the days of the Soviet Union when they could tell other country's soldiers to die for them, not now with their current military.

So, big advance of LNR and DNR forces today. Dozens of settlements were freed most of them without a fight, some UKR equipment abandoned (maybe they do not have fuel what you think?) or destroyed. Situation around Mariupol is still confusing for me.
Maybe i didn't express well, as the war started they couldn't just bomb them US did, they had to rush in.
I didn't write that help that UKR received was a surprise for Russians, quite the contrary that was one of the reasons why they had to start. House wasn't on fire, but weapons were coming in huge quantities and they couldn't just watch (not just help but also Ukr internal production and repair in last years).
I don't know about occupation, maybe they will be smarter. They have had no problems in Crimea for the last 8 years they didn't lose a man there.

Putin divided EU or more concisely Germany with gas, controls the news, has reserves and a repetitious plan that was successful so far thanks to indifference. Everything he did was quite logical. Until he underestimated Ukrainians.
But he wasn't the only one, they all underestimated them. And now stand embarrassed by their assessments.
One other example..The UN need a boot in the ass. AT the start they had meeting and come back we with don't understand Ukraine's complaint. WTF.
