Please do not compare, Desert Storm. They might not have moved a centimeter on the 5th day, but they didnt have their economy meltdown either.

Russia might gain their objectives in Ukraine, but at this point they are losing the bigger picture. NATO actually moved a lot closer to Russian territory because of Russian actions. It is not a battle for each city anymore, Russian forces have lost the momentum. This isnt about a quick boots on the ground, kick the Ukranian admin and move on. This is now a total war against Russia. From here on out, Russia is a pariah state and any adventures they have after this will be dealt with.

Putin's Russia, just became like any one of those middle eastern despots. If your advance can be slowed by Ukraninan forces, what more when they face NATO. (I'm not saying they will, but the formidable Russian Army image is shattered.) If this is the Russian Army's performance, how much more when their economy goes to the shits and cant afford to build newer equipment?

"What price Ukraine?" should be the battle cry of the Russian people

Answering a journalist's question, the German minister of defence has said that weapon shipments to Ukraine "are on their way" and will arrive "within a matter of hours". Yesterday, Berlin renounced its long-standing practice of not providing armaments to belligerents, pledging 1000 Panzerfaust 3 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger man-portable air defence systems to Ukraine.
