More than 200 locals gathered in a tree-filled park by the town lake in Buena Vista, Colorado to be treated to a concert by the U.S. Army National Guard's 101st Army Band, along with the 101st Army Dixieland Band, June 22, 2018. The bands had people on their feet and dancing in the grass as cottonwood seeds floated through the air like snowflakes and the sun sank through the trees. The 101st Army Band features an array of musical ensembles that perform across a wide spectrum of musical styles and in a variety of environments. From Concert Band to Marching Band, Dixie to Rock and Roll. As "Colorado's Musical Ambassadors" the band performs across the entire state. As a college preparatory school with a strong emphasis on the performing arts, the students of the American Renaissance Academy will not only need interviewing skills for college admission, but also for potential interviews as successful artists.
