it was a joint operation between the Ministry of defense (GFS, the Air force and intervention battalion) and Ministry of interior (USGN,National guard's CT intelligence unit and regional CT unit of Kasserine) so after tracking the leader of the group for days they managed to surround the group and bomb their camp this is the 3rd leader he assumed command after the other one was killed in an operation conducted by USGN in 2019... the Kasserine mountains near the Algerian border became a hot bed for terrorists group since 2014 and terrorists started attacking the army but in recent years after many of them died and their leaders killed they've been on the run...
