Photos "The Counter Attack" - Carentan, June 1944

I purchased this old Italeri Sturmgeschuetz IV model on ebay last year and I have been saving it for just the right diorama. I will be building it in conjunction with several Fallschirmjager figures (Dragon), four 17SS personnel (Dragon) in a farm lane deep in the bocage - outside of Carentan.

The figures are seen here in the "Out of the Box" configuration - before modifications are made. I plan to show some of the uniform combinations used by German paras in 1944, this will include ankle boot/gaiter combos, feld-grau para helmets, Luftwaffe Blue Stahlhelm, feld-grau trousers and the whole range of jump mocks available in June 1944. The figure at the top left for example, wears a stahlhelm covered with chicken wire.

I did a bit of work on the Stug. today, mostly sanding road wheels and basic hull construction.

Does anyone have a really good picture of an old wooden farm gate? This is the only one I have and I would really like to have a few more to go by.
