Found this site when looking for tank pictures.
Already 51 years old (damn that looks old....) I'am interested in aircraft since I was a young boy. Volunteered to get drafted earlier to do my conscription in the air force, first as air force security, later on the HAWK air defence system. Changed services and served several years as tanker on the Leopard A4, A5 and A6.
Due to my interest in aircraft (aircraft spotter) I travelled a lot through Europe and the world to see aircraft. Because of this hobby I went a lot of times to (then) East Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia to see the the MiG's and Sukhoi's over there. It was there that I also started to be interested in the ground equipment of the then Warsaw Pact and encountered the so-called adversary which looked a lot like me, just a young fellow in the army of his country
