China's aircraft carrier ,Liaoning (CV 16), carries out 1st docking maneuver in Sanya Naval base. This is the first time the Liaoning has conducted a cross-sea training voyage since it was commissioned into the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy last year....English.news.cn | 11.29.2013 | Editor: Mengjie

I found these un-captioned photos in the link below. They gave a date of 12.03.2013. I do not know where they were taken.

I like them because they appear to be photos that are not staged. These look like real airmen doing their jobs..

One thing.. why are these airmen on the flight line with no hearing protection and their covers(hats) on? Possible hearing damage and the hats are a FOD hazard. Just my observation..I hope those airmen have in ear plugs.

Enjoy the photos!

..Sometimes the PLA uses professional models in its photos. Many of the PLA photos are staged photo ops. Nothing wrong with that. That's how they roll.

03.17.2014...There are 90 female PLAN (Chinese) sailors aboard the PLAN (Chinese) aircraft carrier Liaoning (CV 16). The full crew size is about 2500 with an air wing aboard.. All working in different ratings they are well represented on board the ship. The Chinese captions state that the women are treated equally as the men aboard.

All in all these are some excellent photos by the PLAN..I do have some commentary.

I do not like what I see in this first photo.

Sailors unloading a helo that is turning it's rotors without any safety gear what so ever. No helmets , no float coats(life preservers). At a minimum they should have some hearing protection.

Now, during the same evolution the sailors now at least have life preservers.
