IOS SAGAR, on concluding its successful three-day port visit to Nacala, Mozambique, departed for Port Louis, Mauritius. The ship's crew includes 44 personnel from the navies of nine friendly foreign nations, underscoring the collaborative spirit of the SAGAR initiative. Prior to its scheduled arrival in Port Louis, IOS SAGAR will undertake a Joint EEZ Surveillance along with Mozambican authorities. This deployment reaffirms the Indian Navy's commitment to enhancing maritime security and fostering partnerships within the IOR.

IOS SAGAR arrived at Port Louis Harbour, Mauritius on 26Apr 25, on completion of Phase I of Joint EEZ surveillance with National Coast Guard (NCG) Mauritius. The visit marks a significant milestone in India’s commitment to regional maritime cooperation and capacity-building with friendly foreign countries. The ship and her crew were received with warmth and enthusiasm, reflecting the close and time-tested bonds between India and Mauritius.
