Has Macron any plan? The incompetent, spoiled kid is so distraught by his ( well-deserved ) unpopularity that he simply rolls with the punches, grasping any straw, however rotten it may be, that seems to provide a modicum of relief, however short-lived it will prove to be. Apparently, he's courting the far left this time... Good luck with that!

Regarding the Vueling incident, it seems that some action is being taken, as the Spanish ambassador was requested to give an explanation, and an inquiry is to be conducted. Vueling, naturally, denies everything en bloc, though unanimous testimonies from fellow passengers that the kids were not behaving badly should put them to shame. Not holding my breath though...

An unexpected side-effect of Israel's Operation Rising Lion: When Iran switched off it's internet loads of social media accounts critical of Western governments and seemingly pro conservative went silent. When they returned two weeks later as Iran turned it's internet back on they all spread the same story, how Iran had defeated Israel, exposing a huge Iranian disinformation operation aimed at the Western audience.

Lots of bots, yes, but I saw that a number of these conservative, influential social media account, be them American (or pretending to be) or not, weren't so much pro-Iran as they were anti-Israel.
Coming from the left and liberals, being anti-Israel is more or less a given. But among Republicans and conservatives this is also a trend.

I found this article interesting because the present situation seems to me like a stagnant and there needs to be an endgame for Israel. Israel needs to finish it.
My personal thoughts/not in the article:
Harsh against the losers, innocents will be killed in the crossfire but at one point the war ends and rebuilding starts. Israel's intervention will be two years old in a few months and although there has been lots of infrastructure destroyed, hamas does not seem shattered. Distribution of humanitarian aid is unsecured leading to shootings from both sides. It's evidently not easy but Israel being the winner now "owns" the Gaza strip and the people who are there.
Although I recognize the people there are for many pretty complicit with disgusting and murderous actions led by hamas, so were many Germans and Japanese in 1945 with their former leaders...war needs to end by a clear israeli victory that Israel actually commits to obtain.
