At first they wanted talks but no compromises, then they didn't want to talk any more. Now they say they want to talk, but could just as easily be stalling for time (again). Sending a lot of tankers is a relatively cheap (for US standards) means of pressure. I still think Trump believes he can talk his way to a deal, but this gives multiple options, some more realistic than others given Iran's past behavior.

I've been thinking. The IDF is telling residents of Teheran to evacuate and move north. The Iranian nuclear facilities are to the south of Teheran and close to each other. The defences in western Iran and around Teheran are degraded and continue to be with special emphasis on the IRGC. Would the IDF consider flying in special forces to secure the sites and do a controlled demolition like they did in Syria?

A highly complicated operation, but given the unconventional Israeli approach to tackling "impossible" problems in restricted environments which includes setting up ATGMs overlooking SAM batteries and placing car bombs in the most guarded areas in your enemy's capital city I wouldn't put it past them if Trump won't play ball.

But if they dont they dont. I hope nobody places boots on the ground. Would not like a new migration crises thanks to this.

If Iran can be flipped, that would stabilize the ME at least to the level pre Bush.

Israel does have SF on the ground in Iran. They could destroy those facilities.

How long before Israel can flip their military other than the RG's.
