Warfare HAMAS attack on Israel, Oct 2023 & Iran’s Proxies.

Tonight russia can see what version 17.5 (aka NATO) of the Ukrainian v0.4 Alpha Build air defences looks like and how their flying mopeds and third rate missiles won't achieve much against a layered modern AD system unlike the counterstrike that follows.

Was just about to say, apparently they've started some ballistic missiles as well.
Iran's national news agency IRNA is flooding the interwebs with pictures.

I suppose our current phase is wrapping up. Over the next 3 or 4 days, I anticipate three potential scenarios:

1) This whole spectacle concludes, and life resumes its course.

2) A second wave is being readied, utilizing the same quantity of drones and ballistic missiles, followed by resolution.

3) These waves persist for the next two or three days.

"dozens of planes"...sends chivers down the spine..... ... damn...all these f35's having a field day today ... just waiting for the green light to light sh!t up ....

IDF spokesperson via BBC: 200+ projectiles fired so far, most shot down outside of Israel. A few have hit inside Israel, with negligible damage (possibly debris from interceptions). One base sustained minor damage.

Apparent Arrow intercept over Israel:

Star Wars indeed.

According to IDF spokesperson only two persons are known to have been injured in Israel, a 7 year old Bedouin girl in the Negev and a 10 year old boy by schrapnel from an intercepted missile.

The Times of Israel reports 200 missiles and drones were launched, most of which successfully intercepted. Allegedly, no hits were scored in Israel itself. American, British and Jordanian units also shot down some missiles and drones. Iranian officials suggest that they'll leave it at that, but Tel Aviv says that "now it's Iran's turn to go sleepless" against a backdrop of claims that Biden won't back an Israeli counter-attack.

Frankly, Biden might actually be right in this instance. Israel targeted some henchmen of Iran's, Iran retaliated as Israel knew that they would. And the retaliation was ineffective. Israel claims that they successfully repelled the attack with no loss of life or damage to property.

You could argue that that feat in itself is enough of a flex. If nothing has happened, is it really worth striking back in kind and risking a wider war whilst Israel is still busy dealing with Hamas and Hisbullah?

Having said that, some of the videos circulating on the internet seem to speak against the Israeli version. There's fresh footage of some ballistic munitions hitting something in a developed area. Some OSINT Twitter accounts say Ramon Air Base was hit by ballistic missiles.

The human mind is incredible. After the initial stupor, the Iran supporters have seemingly decided that this is the most successful bombing run after the second world war. ...and soon they will be playing the victim card.

The main objective of today's Iranian attack was to knock out one of Israel's most important weapons systems today, the F-36 ADIR. Hence the footage of the Nege desert impacts, the main target being Negatim airbase. The attack scenario follows the Russian:ok's scenario in Ukraine of using relatively imprecise means to exhaust the defenders' anti-aircraft missile stockpiles, and then once it became apparent that the defenses could be breached, one by one, the priority targets could be eliminated.
From here, let everyone run with the fact that Biden has here again used the Ukraine scenario: 'don't hit back because my Muslim voters don't want it'

Yep, he could be annoying but he’d make this story more interesting.

I didn’t ban him despite the tongue in cheek GIF I posted. I thought he was actually okay and you could talk to him and argue a bit, the decision was onto someone else.

I think the Iran threads (proxies etc) got too nasty and he eventually cheered on US soldiers death which led to nothing good here.

From what can be seen in the fog of war, Iran used at least following ballistic-missile:
Rezvan
Haj-Qasem
Maybe:
Kheybar-Shekan
Kheybar-Shekan (Glider)

Along with Quds cruise missiles and Shaheds.

So, in short:
-Iran fired 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles and 110 surface-to-surface missiles toward Israel;
-An urgent UN Security Council meeting on the attack is scheduled for Sunday;
-Biden convenes consultations with G7 allies on Sunday to work out a response to Iran's attacks;
-U.S. facilities or forces in the Middle East were not damaged in Iran's attack on Israel, according to Biden;
-All targets of the attack on Israel belonged to military installations and "were successfully defeated", IRGC says.
-Damage to Israel was, tentatively, "relatively limited" given the scale of Iran's attack, says the New York Times;
-Biden said Israel managed to shoot down almost all Iranian-launched missiles and drones with US assistance;
-Iran said it does not seek escalation or conflict in the region, but will respond even more forcefully and decisively in the event of Israeli military aggression;
-Pentagon chief Austin said the US is not seeking conflict with Iran, but Washington will support Israel;
-CNN, citing a senior US administration official, notes that the US will not engage in any offensive operations against Iran. This, according to his information, Biden warned Netanyahu about during telephone talks;
-Israel has so far responded to the attack with strikes on Lebanese border settlements and rocket attacks on southern Lebanon.
