Intro First post

Hi,

I am an active duty soldier who returned in from Iraq in April. I am a 19D Cavalry Scout, Armored Reconnaissance Specialist. I found this site through a web search "military forums."

I was actually looking for some help or information with Post Traumatic Stress Dissorder. I know you have some good info. posted on it, but I was kinda looking for someone to talk to, other than a shrink or a person in my unit.

As far as the PTSD, I'm not sure that I'm one to help you. I'm sure you're feeling pretty alone with this right now. Don't. You're not. Go over to http://www.patriotfiles.com and introduce yourself and express what you're looking for just like you did here. You can say that I sent you if you want. I'm a moderator over there. I guarantee you alot of response from people wanting to help; almost all VN vets. Best of luck to you, and I hope to see you over there.

Hey buddy and welcome to our site. Its already been said but there are a lot of good people here. You can discuss any problems you may be encountering with us and you will be shown the utmost respect.
PTSD is a difficult one and something that I have not experienced myself, well I dont think so?. I am an ex Gulf 1 vet and a vet of Northern Ireland.
Frisco and Bill have pointed you towards another web site (Patriot Files), I totally condone this advice, they have some good people over on that site too. Between both sites you should be able to get the advice that you need.

Welcome Cavscout. PTSD is a very damaging condition and I beg of you to talk about your feelings, if only with your friends and family.
Of course the guys and gals here will be very good listeners too.
