London twit of a mayor walks himself further out on a limb. Sooner the "city" sobers up an realizes brexit is Brexit and free trade deal with US is on the table right now.
I look forward to his "support" melting away in short order.

This whole trump visit has somewhat exposed a layer of faux outrage . " He locks children up at the border ! " Has been a popular one , until it's pointed out that Obama did it and it was his policy then suddenly it's change the subject time . Personally I'm not really politically with trump but to try and pretend that he's much much worse than previous presidents is a little misleading .

Giving it some thought to start a petition calling for the arrest for all the Anti Brexit Mp's to be arrested for treason .. for falling to adhere to wishes of the people ..

I'm still trying to work out why they all want to stop in and what exactly the benefits are of the EU . I'm sure it's great for the big multi nationals but for your average Joe on the street you can only scratch your head and wonder .

Looks like old gove s been on the party powder . They always say drugs are the scourge of the lower classes but find the richest street in the UK and I'd guess the problem is even worse . I remember peaches geldoff popping her clogs on heroin while her 2 kids were downstairs playing having made a living in all the ok type magazines about been the perfect mother . These high society types do like to take the moral high ground......

Get it out there before anyone else does;)

At least we know where the first trade deal will be signed - Columbia

he only has to look at the the other bench - Corbyn's on crack - Watson's on Weed - Abbott's on Acieeeeeeeeeeed

The only thing going for Gove is that he has taken up my idea of getting rid of VAT - a tax which affects the poor and pensioners more than the rich
And there is no hope they will get rid of it for exactly that reason
If you really want to stimulate the economy then get on with getting rid of VAT - would save a whole level of Government as well - as I hate the VAT man and all his minions and advisors - they might have to get a real job

Pity St. Bob had snot snorted a bit more - another champagne socialist/leftist who makes me sick

I remember the really bad floods around 2007/8 ( Yorkshire got hit hard ) . The government gave away 400 million to help homeowners with the clean up . They made more back in VAT on all the building repairs post flood . You could nt make it up sometimes . It is a bit unfair VAT . Fine on TV s or holidays , but when your boiler breaks , or your car needs repairing I do struggle to understand why their taxing such transactions .

started as a tax on luxury goods such as fine cigars etc. Between 1940 and 1973, the main consumption tax in the UK, the Purchase Tax, had a class bias in favour of workers, not owners. It was levied only on luxury goods, at a rate of just over 33%. The stated goal of this tax, which originated in war-time, was to reduce the wastage of raw materials and redirect resources into the war economy. In 1973 the Purchase Tax was replaced by VAT, then levied at 8%; this represented a massive shift in the burden of indirect taxation from wealthy individuals to ordinary workers and the poor.

Value-Added Tax is one of the most regressive taxes levied on working-class people in the UK. It is an indirect tax levied on consumption, which means it takes no account of income, wealth or ability to pay, and is levied on most goods and services at the same rate payable on the most expensive luxury items

Just another way you are shafted every day by an uncaring and self serving Government:mad:

Well blackcat ,it's funny you should mention that but under EU " law " no member country can charge any less than 15% vat on its citizens . Apparently it's something to do with the free market and everything being " fair " . Yep , I'm struggling too , but with the EU taking a cut of VAT revenue from every member it's a nice earner for the brains in Brussels .

EU are just a gang of bullies and swindlers lead by the Jerries -sooner we are gone the better

Jerries are getting very jittery about America putting tariff's on their vehicles

Jerries build 10 new coal fired power stations and hid the pollution from their manufactured cars - so much for their green credentials

I think the jerries are as ignorant as we are as to what's going on . That they may be used as a convenient scapegoat is not lost on me . The Germans bailed the euro regards Greece , but the banks were on the make , but the German people think there was some sort of cost to them . There wasn't , profits are back to what they were on the backs of the Greeks . Debt creation is slavery , but the birth of democracy is built on debt forgiveness should you care to study Greek history .

French is something you speak when you meet un-civilised people who cannot speak English (Y)
