The BNS Bangabandhu alone can take out every frigate and corvette of the Myanmar Navy all by itself.
 
Bangladesh Army's locally upgraded Type-59BD Durjoy Tank.

They are upgraded to third generation standards under 902 Central Workshop, Gazipur, Bangladesh and has a 125mm main gun fitted in a turret similar to the Chinese Type-96A tank.

174 tanks are being upgraded in first batch. Upgradation process includes:
  • 125mm main gun with new turret (similar to that of the Type 96A turret) 28 rounds, Type-85 12.7×108mm Commander's machine gun (600 rounds), Co-axial 7.62mm gun (3000 rounds), 81mm Smoke grenades.
  • The Durjoy's APFSDS round can penetrate over 500mm of RHA at 2 km
  • Chinese 3rd generation ERA on front, turret and side skirts. Modular Composite armour on turret front. Cage armour on back of turret to protect from RPG hits.
  • To enhance crew comfort the Durjoy is fitted with air-conditioning and complete NBC protection system
  • Collective Fire suppression system.
  • Laser warning receiver, Laser designator, Fire control system, Combat data link, Thermal imaging system.
  • 730 H.P. Diesel engine
  • Barrel launched ATGM firing capability.
  • Rubber padded tracks.
  • XDZ-1 SATCOM and VRC-2000L radio contact system.

really nice upgrade, but what about an Autoloader? does it have one similar to the Type96(T-72)? I am asking because the 125mm uses 2part ammunition but if it would have no autolader there would be just a crew of 3
and i believe you switched the number of the rounds of the coaxial MG and the commanders HMG

Today marks the 48th Victory Day of The People's Republic of Bangladesh.

16th December, 1971 is the day Pakistan surrendered after a long and bloody 9 months war which costed the lives of 3 million Bengalis and thus the sovereign nation of Bangladesh was born.

May all the people who gave their lives to liberate our motherland rest in peace.

On today's Victory Day Parade, the Bangladesh Air Force announced its first permanent aerobatics display team consisting of Russian made Yak-130 advanced trainers.
The airforce also confirmed it would receive more batches of Yak-130 aircraft in the next few years.

China hands over two warships to Bangladesh Navy

China today officially handed over two warships to Bangladesh Navy at Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai, China.

Two warships — ‘Omar Faruk’ and ‘Abu Ubaidah’ — have been added to the fleet of Bangladesh Navy as part of its modernization plan.

BN Chief Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the handing over ceremony while Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel), Rear Admiral Md Shaheen Iqbal, Deputy Commandant of Eastern Fleet of China Navy Rear Admiral Bai Yaoping were present, among others.

High officials and a large number of sailors from Bangladesh navy were also present on the occasion, the release added.

Each of the frigates is 112 metres in length and 12.4 metres in width, and can sail at a speed of 24 nautical miles per hour.




A few days earlier, Bangladesh Navy reportedly awarded a multi billion dollar contract to China Shipbuilding & Offshore International Co., Ltd (CSOC) for next generation frigates.
Bangladesh also plans to construct 6 of these frigates in Chittagong Drydock via transfer of technology (ToT).

East Bengal Regiment throughout the ages.

Currently the East Bengal Regiment consists of 46 battalions. The East Bengal Regiment is the largest formation of Bangladesh Army and is also the first to be equipped with Future Infantry Soldier System as part of implementation of Forces Goal 2030.
