Still waiting for something from the FBI and DoJ. They have nothing, that's why they are "leaking" a different story every day to their commie chums in the corrupt media.
A President can declassify anything without explanation. He has the highest clearance there is.
Also, they were working and cooperating with DoJ regarding any documents which they might want turned over, ( a first actually for a former POTUS). It is completely unprecedented that:
1) The Regime would send armed Gestapo agents to the private residence of a former POTUS.
2) You would send armed Gestapo agents to the residence of a former POTUS which was FULLY cooperating with Regime stooges.
The 4th Reich is panicked. Nothing they do would surprise me now. Only the most stupid and indoctrinated Americans are buying into this now.
Also, you really need to widen the sources which you get your facts from, or you won't be equipped to have this discussion.
Ah just a clarification, if it involves Nukes, the US president cant "declassify anything without explanation." Your Nuclear program does not work like that. I believe on the Secretart of Energy has that gig. Unless that changed.

POTUS out ranks the Sec of Energy. POTUS can literally say with documents at his feet, I hereby declassify you and they are declassified. Now if someone disagrees with that, they might have brought that up no later than Jan 20, 2021 and oh, I don't know, change the nuclear codes before they can be posted on Facebook.
Anyway, this nuclear BS story is so several days ago and no one is buying it. . Expect a new story and new leak soon.

The Atomic Energy Act doesnt seem to agree with your claim. Even the neweste iteration in 2019 mentions only the Secretary of Energy has that power.
Not debating whether the FBI claim is true or not, Im just looking at that specific detail, now thats an interesting topic.

Since this is an interesting topic i would appreciate your input.
"Congress has passed a law, the Atomic Energy Act, that imposes its own legal restrictions on mishandling information about how to build a nuclear bomb or enrich nuclear material. Such information is called “restricted data.” Legally, it is not the same thing as being “classified” under the executive order, although in everyday parlance people often refer to it as classified.
The law established a process for making decisions about downgrading such protections. For those involving military weapons, Congress mandated that the decision be made jointly by senior officials at the Energy and Defense Departments; if the two departments disagree about whether or not to do so, the law says the president makes the final determination. So at a minimum, those officials must be involved in any decision to downgrade nuclear weapons information into so-called formerly restricted data.
The Atomic Energy Act made it a crime for officials to disclose restricted data without authorization. But whether or not dangerous nuclear weapons information remains deemed to be restricted data, the Espionage Act separately makes its unauthorized retention or disclosure a crime."
Heres that law more in detail
42 U.S. Code § 2162 - Classification and declassification of Restricted Data
