...I read a story of a convoy of these SPGs that cruised through a village on route to a firing line just back of the frontlines. The village happened to be retaken by the Germans and the convoy ran smack into a close quarter tank fight and gave a very good account of themselves I don`t remember what this vehicle was called ,if someone could fill that in that would be very much appreciated!!

The self propelled gun was officially called the "M12 Gun Motor Carriage" b the US Army.

I really enjoy your work!! Your dioramas are truly brilliant!

In a few hours I'm meeting another top modeler, the guy who built this:

Your work is of superior quality

Thank you so much for sharing it

his dedication is very admirable

thank you

best regards

...thank you very much Corsini Flavio for your kind words, sadly I cannot continue to build as my hands have given up the ghost so to speak but thank you very much!!

I started getting restless of all of the model manufacturers coming out constantly with German tanks and no softskins,so started to scratchbuild and kitbash more often for subjects to build different dioramas with! One of the most wanted pieces I wanted to build was the Diamond T 981,that`s the tractor combined with the multywheeled trailer!

...a little fender-bender on a Dutch roadside with the driver of a 15cwt falling asleep at the wheel and head into the ditch. The recovery vehicle is another scratchbuilt Scammal,a field ambulance and of course the kitbashed 15cwt truck plus crews.

...Saturday I had a great pleasure in attending along other members of the Victoria Scale Modelers in a display commemorating D-Days 75th[hope that`s right] anniversary. We were invited by The Victoria Military Museum Working Group to participate with Canadian and British vehicle models from D-Day,I was also introduced to a film crew by the founder of the working group and was given an interview on model making,a great honour all round!! Also a few of my other models showed up from the Navy Base Museum`s warehouse which I have not seen in over 5 or6yrs,nice to see!

...a trio of truckers are moving inland with much needed cargo and have deviated from the main route and now find themselves beyond enemy lines.

...quite some time ago I met a gentleman who was a veteran of wwII.So we met over coffee at Tim Hortons and he explained the situation. He was riding a bicycle down a wet dreary road when he came across a sherman parked at a corner the crew brewing some tea and was beckoned to come over and have a cup. The diorama I did of the Desert Rats Doctor with his Dingo reminded him of that encounter on that wet rainy day! He bought the dio for his Grandson who was just starting to dabble in the hobby and wanted to share that story with him with the dio. By the way the gentleman's job in the Army and yes I did ask was bomb disposal and boobytraps!!He did tell me that the worst boobytrap was a piano, soldiers can`t resist tinkling the ivorys!! This next dio is of a bomb disposal unit.

...this is all I can find of my Dragon Wagon pulling a Super Pershing on deck. From what I could find out there where two super pershings fabricated in the field and the trailer was heavily modified for the weight, and they weren`t transported very far to the front.
