HMCS Goose Bay - NCSM Goose Bay returns to HMC Dockyard Halifax, painted in a Second World War Admiralty Paint Schematic, after a routine maintenance period. The paint scheme was initiated in 2020 as a tribute to our sailors who fought in the Battle of the Atlantic.

Over 350 Canadian Army soldiers are putting their cold weather combat skills to the test with partners from the RCAF, the 11th Airborne Division from the United States, and soldiers from the Republic of Korea and Mongolia from February 13 to 22, 2024. In total, over 600 Canadian Armed Forces members will participate in or support the exercise, with the majority coming from the 3rd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry.
The exercise will comprise 8,000 soldiers who will engage in offensive and defensive operations in a complex environment. Ex GLOBAL RESOLVE is an annual training event held on an alternating basis between the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center in Alaska and the Joint Readiness Training Center in Louisiana aimed at preparing the Canadian Army's Global Response Task Force (GRTF).
 
Canadian Army soldiers from 3 PPCLI are in Alaska on Ex GLOBAL RESOLVE 2024 with the 11th Airborne Division and partners to achieve readiness for their rotation as the Canadian Army's Global Response Task Force.

Ex MAROON SOJOURN gives soldiers the opportunity to train in harsh sub-arctic conditions, exercising skills such as defensive winter warfare tactics, live-fire rifle training, winter survival, first aid, and snowmobile operations.
