A.04.02 Harry BARTLETT alias Sowerby. Private, 9114, Lancashire Fusiliers. Born at Gorton, Lancashire to Henry and Mary A Bartlett. Enlisted 16 September 1902, civilian occupation, galvanizer. Died in Malta 21st September 1907. His father was granted a gratuity 18 November 1907.


A.04.02 Walter Charles BISHOP Private, 952, 1st Lancashire Fusiliers stationed at Lower St Elmo Barracks, Valletta, Malta. Born at Great Barton, Suffolk to Thomas and Alice Bishop, nee Long. Enlisted 28 December 1905, civilian occupation, labourer.
His father was granted a gratuity on the 18 October 1901

Military boat accident.
A party of seven men belonging to the Lancashire Fusiliers were yesterday evening, 23rd were disembarking from a launch into a boat when the latter capsized Pte Walter Bishop was drowned. He was aged 19 years and 4 months

His father was granted a gratuity on the 18 November 1907

Both are rest in an unmarked burial in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta.
