- A.05.02 John CHALK, Private, 1st West Kent Regiment. Born 1873 at Morten, Wiltshire to Hannah Chalk. 1881 he was residing with his married mother and siblings at the Eton Union Workhouse, Upton cum Chalvey, Buckinghamshire. Brother of Ernest. Enlisted 16 September 1890, occupation, carter. Died 25th December 1905
At rest in an unmarked burial in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta Plot A Row 05 Grave 2.
