We are nowhere near Israel using nukes. This is a well planned and executed border raid. The problem for both sides, is what does Israel do now.Well, gentlemen, I do pray I’m utterly wrong, but I think this time the proverbial stuff has hit the proverbial fan. For, like cancer, war has the flipping habit of metastasizing : what’s happening now is an indirect consequence of the ongoing war in Ukraine , not that I think Russia is behind Hamas’ move since the situation is bound to become uncontrollable, but because the world is perceiving the current western weakness.
I think it’s Mr Medvedev that said, regarding the current Ukraine conflict, that a nuclear state cannot lose a war. And since what goes for the goose goes for the gander, if it’s true for Russia, then it is so for Israel. But the difference is that if these is little chance of seeing Russia going nuclear since Russia’s strategical depth is its huge territory, Israel’s is its ability to draw resources from the West – mainly America – if necessary. The catch is that Western resources have decreased a lot – arsenals depleted by support to Ukraine, demented pointless spending to fight the little Wuhan flu, more demented pointless spending to save the world from global warming by turning to inefficient green energies… This means Israel will have little choice in the matter and will use the only option left to preserve its existence since its strategical depth will be absent. From then on, all bets – and prognostics – are off…
Dropping a few buildings isn’t going to stop the next attack. Clearing Gaza, or at the very least clearing a free fire zone several miles deep( Gaza is only 5km deep…) could be an option.
As for Russia, sorry but we are all about to see it lose a war, just as America has lost several, and didn’t have to nuke anyone….
