Warfare HAMAS attack on Israel, Oct 2023 & Iran’s Proxies.

Well, gentlemen, I do pray I’m utterly wrong, but I think this time the proverbial stuff has hit the proverbial fan. For, like cancer, war has the flipping habit of metastasizing : what’s happening now is an indirect consequence of the ongoing war in Ukraine , not that I think Russia is behind Hamas’ move since the situation is bound to become uncontrollable, but because the world is perceiving the current western weakness.

I think it’s Mr Medvedev that said, regarding the current Ukraine conflict, that a nuclear state cannot lose a war. And since what goes for the goose goes for the gander, if it’s true for Russia, then it is so for Israel. But the difference is that if these is little chance of seeing Russia going nuclear since Russia’s strategical depth is its huge territory, Israel’s is its ability to draw resources from the West – mainly America – if necessary. The catch is that Western resources have decreased a lot – arsenals depleted by support to Ukraine, demented pointless spending to fight the little Wuhan flu, more demented pointless spending to save the world from global warming by turning to inefficient green energies… This means Israel will have little choice in the matter and will use the only option left to preserve its existence since its strategical depth will be absent. From then on, all bets – and prognostics – are off…
We are nowhere near Israel using nukes. This is a well planned and executed border raid. The problem for both sides, is what does Israel do now.

Dropping a few buildings isn’t going to stop the next attack. Clearing Gaza, or at the very least clearing a free fire zone several miles deep( Gaza is only 5km deep…) could be an option.

As for Russia, sorry but we are all about to see it lose a war, just as America has lost several, and didn’t have to nuke anyone….

Well I disagree. I cannot see any war in this region becoming an attrition war such as the conflict in Ukraine is. The question of armament and resources is also much different. Ukraine has used a copious amount of ammo because the front line is simply enormous, and Russia is a very large user of ammo that it stockpiled for decades. Nothing of the such here IMO.

"Well planned and executed border raid" is perhaps the most accurate description of what happened.

Though it could be seen as underplaying the damage and casualties inflicted to Israel by the terrorists, the fact these groups have now withdrawn (or so it seems at least), does indeed paint it as a "border raid". A large scale one, with seemingly no plan on consolidating the gains made.
They came in, rampaged, slaughtered and then fell back with hostages and loot.

Israel won't use nukes, but God I wish they did and I wonder if it tickles Bibi's finger to press the red button. Obviously, this is said without taking into account the unpredictable outcome of such a retaliatory strike, which are likely the reason why it hasn't happened yet and likely won't happen anyhow.

Clearing Gaza, yes. In depth. Something like Krakow ghetto comes to mind.

As I said, I do pray I'm wrong, and hope you are right. But no nuclear power has till now lost an existential war. That was the very basis the French nuclear force was built on.

Meanwhile, Senator Kennedy said
"
This ignominious, unprovoked, and barbaric attack on Israel must be met with world condemnation and unequivocal support for the Jewish state’s right to self-defense. We must provide Israel with whatever it needs to defend itself — now. As President, I’ll make sure that our policy is unambiguous so that the enemies of Israel will think long and hard before attempting aggression of any kind.

I applaud the strong statements of support from the Biden White House for Israel in her hour of need. However, the scale of these attacks means it is likely that Israel will need to wage a sustained military campaign to protect its citizens. Statements of support are fine, but we must follow through with unwavering, resolute, and practical action. America must stand by our ally throughout this operation and beyond as it exercises its sovereign right to self-defense."

We'll see if Hezbollah ultimately get's involved.

I'm always for never widening a war, but Iran cannot be allowed to get a free pass here. Their signature is all over this.

Israeli deterrence has obviously erroded. They have to hit back very very hard to regain deterrence and make the mullah´s think twice before pulling such a stunt again. I really don´t think Israel has any other option.

The death toll from the Hamas terror group’s massive attack on Israel rises to more than 200, Hebrew-language media reports say.

The toll is expected to rise higher.

Oh, and of course., SkyNews is emphasing a ticker of how many Palestinians are being killed… Oh, and then following up with detailed interview of Pro-Palestine UK spokepeople.

Who was it? I assume you mean some rando LW talking head as opposed to UK Gov Spokesperson?

I'm worried about Israeli civilians, but how Mossad cant spot this invasion incoming there is insidiousness stuff in General staff of israel. Maybe let those rats invade to get casus belli over Iran cuz previous week Azeris cleaned Armenian proxies now this. Very interesting.. Only way to finish Iran using 1/3 of Azeri/Turkic population. Erdo doesnt support Arabs since they showed their true face as traditional backstabbed Turks.

nuclear and rocket sites in Iran to go boom
Iran's geography is like a castle and its a huge country we are not in 80s Iran has proxies all over Middle east syria to iraq that would be impossible without US & Turkey. This kind of attack would require at least half a dozen tankers and AWACS. I am hopeful that Turks and Azerbaijanis will benefit from this incident. Turks will merge land corridor with Azeris and Iranis cant push those two countries into Israeli hands which Azeris are already best buddy of Israel.

I doubt hezbola will intervene.... they cant afford it....their people/followers cant afford it... lebanon is a mess on all fronts... political..economical...financial...security wise......etc etc

The thing with terrorist organizations like hamas and hezbolla is you cant reason with them... they understand one and only one language ..... the language of violent power.

Israel's biggest mistake was in 2006 when they didnt obliterate hizbolla's stronghold in lebanon "beirut suburbs known as dahiya and their presence on the lebanese eastern front "bekaa area"

Anyways ... right now .... israel is facing a huge problem since the formation of their state...theyre not fighting a regular army and hamas still has tons of rockets and tons of hostages......so what can iusrael do to turn this blunder around... i mean with all the hostages hamas took ...women,children,elderly..israels hands are tied tight...blowing buildings up and killing a couple of terrorist militants here and there wont do jack sh!t......

I really have no idea how israel will recover from this situation.....literally the entire state of israel is in a deep mess because of the inefficiency of the israeli intelligence ..... mossad..shin bet... shabak

before today .... israel shouldve done one and only one thing..... level all of gaza into a parking lot.... press reset .... they didnt and now they are paying the ultimate price for it

What happened to the israelies today is equivalent to 9/11 .... in 1979 ... 11 israelies were murdered... and israel went haywire .... this is equivalent in gravity to what the nazis did to the jewish people back in the 30's and 40's of the last century.

iran shouldnt have been allowed to grow that strong.... and now everyone in the region is paying for it

And everyone saying israel will use nuclear power is crazy..... use it on who? enemies who are less than 10km from them?? and if israel uses nukes..... be 10000% sure .... russia will do the same in ukraine

It is very amateurish that Israel only has land forces soldiers on such high risk contact 0 line. Turkey for ex has 50 to 70k village guards to prevent such invasion. Even in mountainous and rugged terrains. Giving local people light and simple weapons that even a child can use like Vz 58's etc to protect area until police, gendermarie or army arrives.

Israel has for the last few years, played a quiet game, in Iran, with assassinations, etc.

I think, and if I’m honest hope, Israel is going to go noisy.
